The Central District Court in Lod sentenced Jason Odeh to life in prison after he was convicted of murder under aggravating circumstances of Yelena Greenberg (27) in 2022. Defense attorneys Hind Nabulsi, Efrat Paar-Grundland and Shahaf Kleinman said after the sentencing: "The court today imposed a life sentence on the defendant, which is a mandatory punishment for a cruel and premeditated murder of a woman whose only 'sin' was refusing to have a romantic relationship with him." The defendant attacked the deceased in a vehicle and stabbed her more than 10 times with a knife. Afterward, he intended to set the body on fire and poured gasoline on her.
