A Greek container ship sank off the coast of Bulgaria following a drone strike, the Bulgarian government reported. The ship sailed from Haifa Port to Romania and was carrying 421 containers. All 18 crew members, including 14 Filipino citizens and four Ukrainians, were rescued safely. Against the backdrop of the Russia-Ukraine war, attacks in the Black Sea region have intensified recently. Bulgaria, a NATO member, has requested assistance to strengthen its defenses along the Black Sea coast for this reason.
