French opposition leader: 'Police raided party headquarters, attack on pluralism'

Jordan Bardella, the far-right leader in France and chairman of the National Rally party, wrote on X that French economic police "raided the party headquarters accompanied by two investigating judges." Bardella added that "all party documents were taken from the site without us knowing what complaints form the basis for the raid" and claimed the raid is part of "a new harassment campaign and is a serious attack on pluralism. Never in the history of the Fifth Republic has an opposition party faced such a clear attack against it."
