The government advanced the allocation of approximately 1.03 billion shekels to the Defense Ministry for the purpose of advancing classified defense procurement, through an urgent telephone poll among ministers. According to the decision proposal submitted by the Finance Minister, about 964 million shekels of the amount will come from funds that were designated for the advancement of the Five-Year Plan for Arab society in 2027–2029. The remainder of the amount, 68 million shekels, will be allocated from the 2026 budget. The decision proposal stated that there is an 'urgent need' to advance the defense procurement. Cabinet Secretary Yossi Fuchs asked the ministers to approve the proposal as soon as possible through the dedicated WhatsApp group.
