Interior Minister Moshe Arbel announced that he has contacted the Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara as part of the legal process to deport terrorists who received terror funds, openly expressed support for acts of terrorism and incited against the State of Israel during wartime. The two candidates for deportation are Mohammed Ahmed Hamad, who was sentenced to 23 years in prison for shooting attacks, and Mohammed Ahmed Hussein Halsi, who was sentenced to 18 years in prison for a stabbing attack at the Armon Hanatziv Promenade in Jerusalem.
