Israel responds to Norwegian proposal to penalize buyers from West Bank: 'Disconnected'

The Israeli Embassy in Norway responded to the Norwegian foreign minister's legislative proposal to impose up to three years in prison for anyone who purchases products or services from the settlements. "Norway has repeatedly chosen to sacrifice its bilateral relations with Israel in favor of one-sided rhetoric and hostile actions that serve local interests, undermine efforts to achieve peaceful solutions, and are completely disconnected from the reality in the Middle East," Saar's statement read.
