Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz attacked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on X and threatened Hamas political bureau chief Khalil al-Hayya. Katz wrote: "We eliminated the Hamas leaders in Gaza and al-Hayya's turn will come too and he will be sent to meet Haniyeh and his comrades in the depths of hell." He also wrote that "Erdogan continues to roll out the red carpet for Hamas murderers and rapists, and to support the terrorist activities they promote from Turkey together with the Muslim Brotherhood against Israel and against important Muslim countries in the region."
