US investigation into New York City Department of Education: 'Encouraged support for Hamas among children'

|
The U.S. Department of Education has opened an investigation into the New York City Department of Education on suspicion of violating civil rights law and discriminating against Jewish students. According to complaints received by the department, a group of employees in the city's education department organized seminars called 'NYC Educators for Palestine,' in which children as young as five are taught that 'Zionists are white supremacist activists who support genocide, and encourage support for the terrorist organization Hamas.' Assistant Secretary of Education Kimberly Richey said that 'Jewish children should not be taught that being Jewish inherently makes them guilty. Unlike the previous administration, the Trump administration will not turn a blind eye to antisemitic harassment and will investigate these shocking claims to ensure equal treatment for all students.'
