The London-based Arabic newspaper "Asharq Al-Awsat" reported that the Iraqi government has informed pro-Iranian militias on its territory that they should stay away from the war between Iran and Israel. According to the report, intensive contacts are taking place between Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and leaders of Shiite parties and militias - with the message being that Baghdad is not interested in participating in the war.
