President Isaac Herzog will approach Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's lawyers and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara in the coming days to initiate an intensive criminal mediation process. Sources involved in the matter claimed that if Herzog does not grant Netanyahu a pardon that would also include the removal of moral turpitude, his only option will be a determined effort to get Netanyahu and Miara to sit down and seriously discuss mediation. The assessment is that at this stage, Miara will be forced to respond to the president's request to agree to a mediation process, even if she does not believe in it.
