IDF: Palestinian Killed in West Bank After Israeli Opened Fire at Site of Illegal Outpost

|
The IDF Spokesperson addressed the incident in which a Palestinian was shot and killed in the town of Harmala, south of Bethlehem, after police reported earlier that a suspect in the shooting had been arrested. The initial report stated that a confrontation broke out between Israeli citizens and Palestinians at the site, where an illegal outpost had been established overnight on private Palestinian land that was evacuated immediately earlier today and was illegally re-established. The IDF said that during the confrontation, an Israeli citizen opened fire toward people gathered in the area. As a result of the shooting, an East Jerusalem resident was killed and three others were wounded. Civil Administration forces, secured by the IDF and Border Police, will act to evacuate the outpost a second time as soon as possible.
