Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz eulogized the armored corps fighter, Sgt. Liran Ben Zion, who was killed by anti-tank fire in southern Lebanon. Netanyahu said: "Together with all the citizens of Israel, my wife and I convey our deepest condolences to his family. Liran fought bravely on the front lines to defend our communities and citizens from Hezbollah. We embrace his family and share in their grief over this heavy loss." The minister said: "I wish to express condolences to his family. Liran, 19 years old at the time of his death, fought alongside his comrades with dedication for the security of the State of Israel and the defense of the residents of the north."
