U.S. President Donald Trump announced a trade agreement with Uzbekistan during the summit with Central Asian countries where he also announced Kazakhstan's joining of the Abraham Accords. He wrote on his Truth Social platform that "over the next three years, Uzbekistan will purchase and invest almost $35 billion, and in a decade more than $100 billion, in significant American industries - including minerals, aviation, auto parts, infrastructure, agriculture, energy and chemicals, information, technology and more." He added: "I thank the honorable President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. We look forward to a long and productive cooperation."
