Superbus drivers plan strike over violence against them, company seeks injunction

|
Superbus has turned to the regional labor court requesting an injunction in an attempt to halt the planned strike by drivers organized under the 'Koach La'Ovdim' union. The company stated it 'will not allow harm to its employees and the traveling public due to political interests.' The company's drivers intend to strike on Wednesday for three hours on the Metronit lines in Haifa and on buses operating in Jerusalem, Tiberias, Yokneam, Beit Shean and other locations — in protest of the company's handling of complaints about violence directed against them. The hearing is scheduled for tomorrow and it is expected that the labor court will seek to reach a compromise between the parties in an attempt to prevent the strike.
