The Qatari newspaper "Al-Arabi Al-Jadid" reported that a senior Hamas delegation arrived in Cairo at the invitation of Egyptian General Intelligence officials to discuss negotiations for a deal. According to the report, the delegation includes several officials from the political bureau of the terrorist organization, headed by Zaher Jabarin, and its purpose is to discuss with Egyptian officials several points recently raised by U.S. envoy Steve Witkowf. Earlier, it was reported that Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aaty had a phone conversation with Witkowf.
