Activist convicted for claiming Lieberman 'ordered hit on police commander'; Judge: It's a lie

Yossi Kamisa, who claimed during the 2022 election campaign that about 20 years earlier Yisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Lieberman had offered him $100,000 to murder a police commander, was convicted of defamation. Lieberman filed a criminal complaint against Kamisa, a former party activist. The judge at the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court ruled that 'the complainant did not offer the defendant to murder a police commander and these claims are false.'
