Dozens of Israeli civilians set fire to property in the village of Maalak near Ramallah, the IDF spokesperson reported, adding that friction developed between Israeli civilians and Palestinians that included mutual stone-throwing. Upon receiving the report, IDF and police forces rushed to the scene and worked to disperse the confrontation. An IDF officer was lightly injured as a result of the stone-throwing. Subsequently, several militants opened fire from within the village and threw stones at the forces, who responded by firing toward the source of the shooting and the stone-throwers. Hits were identified, and it appears there are several wounded and dead. Five Israeli suspects were arrested.
