Political source: Hamas rejected Qatari proposal, talks continue

A political source stated in a message that "Hamas rejected the Qatari proposal, is creating difficulties, not compromising and accompanying the talks with a perception war aimed at sabotaging negotiations, presenting false displays to the Gaza population and putting pressure on the Israeli public. Israel has shown willingness for flexibility in negotiations while Hamas maintains its refusal, becoming entrenched in positions that do not allow mediators to advance an agreement. If Hamas had accepted the Qatari proposal, it would have been possible to reach an agreement and enter into negotiations for 60 days on ending the war in accordance with Israel's war objectives." However, the source added that "the talks in Doha are continuing and were also conducted during the Sabbath, the negotiating team is working with the Egyptian and Qatari mediators and maintains constant contact with the Prime Minister and Minister Dermer. The Israeli team was sent to Doha based on the Qatari proposal to which Israel agreed and received the mandate required for the talks."
