Eli Yishai, former interior minister and Shas chairman, is considering a return to politics, this time with the 'Haredi Public' party - which claims to represent working ultra-Orthodox Jews and supports genuine enlistment of young men who are not studying. After reports of the contacts, Ynet now reveals documentation from the meeting. In a letter sent by faction chairman Moti Leitner to Aryeh Deri, Moshe Gafni and Yitzhak Goldknopf, he criticized the "continued confrontation" with large segments of Israeli society, which he says endangers the future of the ultra-Orthodox public. The letter stated: "The threat to the future of the ultra-Orthodox public in the Land of Israel requires resilience."
