Special Situation on Home Front to Be Extended: 'Uncertainty Regarding Ceasefire'

|
The government is expected to approve at its weekly meeting convening later today the extension of the special situation on the home front until April 28. The explanatory notes state that "given the ongoing fire, the uncertainty regarding the ceasefire with Iran and the security officials' assessment that fire is expected to continue toward the civilian population, as well as the continuation of the IDF's operational activity, it is proposed, subject to approval by the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, to extend the declaration of a special situation on the home front throughout the country."
