Romania has signed a framework agreement to purchase air defense systems worth $2.3 billion, according to the Romanian Defense Ministry. The ministry's announcement came amid heavy pressure from the United States on European countries to increase their investment in security. According to the agreement signed with Rafael company, the deal will also include armaments, logistical support and training in the use of short and very short-range defense systems. The first systems will be delivered to Romania within 3 years from the signing of the first contract.
