Mamdani's wife apologizes for liking posts celebrating Oct. 7: 'I feel great shame'

|
Rama Dawaji, wife of New York City Councilman Zohran Mamdani, apologized for the first time for her social media activity that sparked controversy — including liking posts celebrating Hamas' Oct. 7 attack. "I feel great shame confronting the language I used," she said in an interview with art magazine Hyperallergic — also referring to old posts she published using the N-word against African Americans. According to her, "I have read and seen much of what others have said in response. I understand the pain I caused and I am truly sorry."
