Israel's Ambassador to London, Tzipi Hotovely, who was summoned yesterday for a clarification talk at the Foreign Office following the approval of a construction plan for about 3,400 housing units in Ma'ale Adumim, said during the meeting: "We don't tell you where you're allowed to build in London, don't tell us where we're allowed to build in greater Jerusalem." During the meeting, Hotovely was informed of Britain's opposition to construction in the E1 area, which cuts off Palestinian territorial continuity between Ramallah and Bethlehem. "This is a sovereign decision of Israel to build in an area that is an extension of Jerusalem," she argued.
