Indictment: Former David district commander recruited a policewoman under his command with whom he had a romantic relationship

|
The Police Internal Investigations Department filed a serious indictment with the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court against Chief Superintendent Avi Cohen, who previously served as the commander of the David district, for breach of trust and obstruction of justice after having a romantic relationship with a policewoman 34 years his junior, recruiting her under his command, granting her benefits and deleting correspondence between them to conceal the relationship. According to the indictment in the case exposed by ynet, Cohen and the policewoman developed a romantic relationship that continued after her release from the police. Subsequently, Cohen worked to re-recruit her and assigned her to a position as his personal assistant - without reporting the conflict of interest he was in.
