Britain summoned Israeli Ambassador to the country, Tzipi Hotovely, following the approval to initiate the construction plan in the E1 area by the Civil Administration's Settlement Subcommittee. London stated that this constitutes a "blatant" violation of international law that would undermine the two-state solution.
