The prosecution filed an indictment with the Be'er Sheva District Court against Efraim Malda (47) from Be'er Sheva for murdering his ex-wife Ananya after he stabbed her multiple times with a kitchen knife in the presence of their five-year-old son. The prosecution described a murder committed with 'special cruelty' following 'systematic and continuous abuse of the deceased, physical and mental.' The indictment reveals that during their 25-year marriage, Malda behaved violently toward his wife and threatened to harm her. The two divorced a few months before the incident, and just days before the murder, he moved back in with the deceased and their young son. During an argument, he stabbed her multiple times in all parts of her body while their son was in the adjacent room, washed the knife and called the police.
