|
Ruby Chen, father of captured soldier Itai Chen, addressed the UN Security Council saying: 'The UN must act with greater determination. Currently, there is no specific UN mandate dedicated to addressing human abduction as a violation of international law.' He made these remarks during a discussion on captured casualties. 'We call on the council to establish a dedicated UN body tasked with monitoring and supporting the implementation of Resolution 2474, which recognizes families' rights to know the fate of their missing loved ones,' Chen added.
