Defense Minister Israel Katz called on the Air Force veterans' association to reverse its intention to appoint former Air Force Commander Dan Halutz as president of the association. Katz argued that Halutz "legitimized refusal to serve and used vile comparisons to Nazis against an Israeli prime minister, crossed the line of legitimate criticism long ago and became a dangerous, extreme and irresponsible voice - who is unworthy to serve in any position and the defense establishment will not maintain any contact with him. There is no place for those trying to dismantle us from within."
