The Health Ministry is warning against illegal peptides marketed for weight loss and bodybuilding that may endanger health. Among the substances being marketed are: BPC-157, GHK-Cu, CJC-1295 and TB-500, as well as retatrutide, a substance currently in clinical trial stages for obesity treatment that has not yet been approved for marketing in Israel. These substances are marketed as solutions for weight loss, bodybuilding, anti-aging and improving athletic performance, even though they are not approved for use in Israel. The use of these substances from unsupervised sources may cause serious health damage, including liver and kidney damage, hormonal disorders and disruptions in blood sugar levels. The ministry is calling on the public to report sales or marketing of these substances through the 'Kol Habriut' hotline at *5400.
