The Tax Authority has transferred the first payment of the work grant for the 2024 eligibility year to about 100,000 eligible recipients. The total amount transferred comes to approximately 178 million shekels, aimed at "improving the economic situation of workers with low income levels, reducing economic and social gaps, and providing an incentive for integration into the labor market." The grant is available to employed individuals and self-employed workers aged 21 and above who are parents, or aged 55 and above even without children, whose income meets the criteria listed in the work grant guide for the 2024 tax year. Applications for the 2023 grant can be submitted on the Tax Authority website until the end of the year.
