Central Elections Committee rules 'Elector' app can be used on election day

|
The Central Elections Committee approved by a vote of 19 to 11 the use of the 'Elector' app, and similar applications, which allow parties to receive data during election day on the identity of voters, contrary to the ruling of committee chairman Noam Solberg. Last week, the High Court of Justice accepted the Likud's position and returned the decision on the matter to the Central Elections Committee. The justices said they do not accept Solberg's position that he was authorized to make the decision alone.
