President Isaac Herzog spoke at the Sderot Conference for Society and Education, saying that "600 days ago, our enemies rose against us on that cursed day. As a result of a terrible series of events, murderous terrorists, well-armed from head to toe, invaded our communities, rioted and massacred us. We entered a war of no choice, and the objectives have remained clear since then - returning all hostages and restoring complete security for all residents of Israel." The president added that after "600 days, we are at a critical turning point on the national level, first and foremost for the hostages who must return. This is not a matter for discussion or deliberation - it's a matter of complete national consensus."
