UN calls on Israel to cooperate with UNRWA, Ambassador Danon: 'Terror-supporting organization'

The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution calling on Israel to cooperate with the organization's bodies, primarily the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). 139 countries voted in favor, 12 opposed and 19 abstained. Israel's Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon responded, "No resolution will change Israel's position. UNRWA is a terror-supporting organization and its employees participated in kidnappings, murder and hiding terrorists. Israel will continue to protect its citizens and will not cooperate with an organization that works against it."
