Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar met with Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka. The two opened the business forum between Israel and the Czech Republic with the participation of more than 200 companies and businesspeople from both countries. At the opening of the forum, the ministers signed a joint declaration between the ministries designed to deepen economic, political and technological cooperation between the countries. The Czech Foreign Minister said: "I will continue to support the strengthening of economic cooperation between the Czech Republic and Israel. In addition to that, I will continue to support Israel also on the political level and in the European arena. This is important to us." Sa'ar thanked him: "For your personal friendship with Israel, and I also want to thank the Czech Republic and the Czech people for their steadfast, longstanding and moral support of Israel – in Europe and in the international arena."
