Composer and arranger Moni Amarilio dies at 93

Veteran composer and musical arranger Moni Amarilio has died at the age of 93. Many of Amarilio's songs became an integral part of the Israeli soundtrack, including "In My Beloved Land the Almond Tree Blooms," "The Mountain is Always Green," "You've Captivated Me" and "The Oak Tree." During his prolific career, he composed for Dorit Reuveni, Ruhama Raz, Chava Alberstein, The Suburbs and military bands. Additionally, he wrote melodies for children's songs, including "Beyond the Sea," "Flower Pot" and "Eitan."
