Eisenkot Does Not Rule Out Minority Government: 'Those Who Try to Sabotage for Personal Reasons Will Not Be Forgiven'

|
Yashar Chairman Gadi Eisenkot issued a statement in which he wrote that 'Israel is facing a real, tangible and dangerous emergency. Against this backdrop, in recent days I have promoted a plan with my partners to establish a national emergency government. The logic behind it: swearing in a government as quickly as possible based on the four Zionist change and correction parties, and the joining of any party and any Knesset member who will agree to my four basic principles, immediately or gradually. I find my partners in the bloc to be those who understand the magnitude of the hour. We have achieved significant progress and also made breakthroughs.' He added: 'Anyone who tries to sabotage and torpedo the establishment of the government for personal reasons and not substantive ones – will be remembered in history as someone who did not rise to the magnitude of the hour and did not act to save Israel in an emergency. This will not be forgiven.'
