Israel Railways CEO Moshe (Shiko) Zhana announced the end of his tenure during the board of directors meeting. About two weeks ago, Zhana went on personal leave while rumors began circulating that he was expected to resign, which Zhana denied at the time. Zhana served in the position for two years, and in June it was revealed in Calcalist that the control company Polak, appointed by the Finance and Transportation Ministries to conduct oversight on the railway's electrification project, issued a severe report on the project's progress.
