The IDF clarified following a wave of false rumors on social networks that the soldier who was found lifeless at a base in southern Israel after being investigated by the Military Police Investigation Unit and took his own life was not investigated regarding an operational incident: "Regarding various reports about an investigation the soldier underwent prior to his death, we note that it was not an investigation following an operational incident. Due to privacy concerns, we cannot provide further details. Any publication about the details of the incident hurts the bereaved family. The IDF shares in the family's grief and is supporting them."
