After Democrats leader Yair Golan announced that no safe seat would be given to Einav Zangauker, mother of hostage survivor Matan Zangauker, she wrote on X that her activism will not cease from the Knesset. Zangauker wrote: "When I met with Golan, I was offered a safe seat at the top of the list, right after the incumbent Knesset members. After deliberation, the safe seat was agreed upon between us. From that moment, I was asked to keep it secret. Each time it was emphasized to me that a word is a word and that the agreement between us is in effect." She also explained that this is the reason she did not run in the party primaries: "I fulfilled my side of the agreement, Golan decided otherwise. That's the entire story."
