National Unity Party chairman Benny Gantz addressed the upcoming party leadership primaries during the faction meeting, saying: "For many months we have been conducting an internal process of opening up party ranks." He added: "In the first phase, we are talking about opening up for membership registration, significantly expanding the general assembly and transferring powers to it, including the election of the party chairman. This is just the beginning, and in the coming days the party's implementation team will work and the process will continue, aiming to complete this phase within a few weeks and move forward."
