Hostage survivor Merav Tal mourned her partner Yair, who was rescued from captivity and laid to rest at Kibbutz Nir Oz: "Yaya, you deserved to be rescued, to be heroic. I have no words to describe the pain, the longing, the hole torn in my heart. Since October 7, that terrible day when you were murdered and held in Gaza, our world stopped. I don't want to say goodbye, but your good soul deserves to rest. I feel like a part of me returned with a scar and emptiness that will never disappear."
