Maj. Gen. (res.) Doron Almog, chairman of the Jewish Agency, said in an interview at ynet Global's Global Aliyah Live conference that "more and more Jews are reconsidering their future abroad." According to him, two major events have dramatically changed the discourse since 2023: the October 7 attack and the rise in antisemitism worldwide. "Following these events and incidents, Jews from Australia, Britain, France, South Africa and the United States have reconsidered where they want to build their future," he said.
