Tehila, mother of Staff Sergeant Omer Van Gelder who fell in an explosive device blast in Jabalia, Gaza, said in a ynet studio interview: "Omer enlisted two months before the war began, he's been in continuous combat since the start of his service. For 603 days, the door at my house has remained open so officers won't have to knock. Yesterday too, the door was open. The officers came to our home and informed us of what we had feared most since Omer enlisted."
