The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment at the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court against Michael Bar (43) from Ashkelon, for carrying out extensive cyberattacks against a long list of companies in Israel and private individuals, and extracting business and private information from them. According to the indictment, starting in 2019 and until his arrest about three weeks ago, he systematically distributed and operated malicious software, which served him as offensive cyber tools that he developed using AI tools. Through them, he remotely infiltrated the computers of 26 companies as well as private computers. Among other things, he used the computers' cameras to photograph intimate images of women employed at those companies, as well as of their minor daughters.
