US: Postal Service Issues Stricter Mail-in Voting Rules Despite Court Order

|
The United States Postal Service (USPS) has issued final rules that tighten requirements for handling mail-in ballots ahead of the November midterm elections, despite a court order currently preventing them from taking effect. The Postal Service explained that the rules, spanning 95 pages, were published so they could be implemented immediately if the court lifts the injunctions blocking them. Under the new rules, USPS will not accept ballots for delivery from states that do not meet the new requirements.
