On the initiative of Transportation Minister Miri Regev, the government approved a decision whereby residents whose homes were damaged during Operation 'Lion's Roar' and are uninhabitable will be entitled to travel free on public transportation throughout the country. The benefit, which was established in a previous government decision, will apply to these residents until the 25th of the month or until their home is recognized as habitable again. To implement the decision, a budget of approximately 500,000 shekels will be allocated from the Transportation Ministry's operating budget for 2026.
