Police arrested about 20 suspects in an operation against members of crime gangs in Ashdod and the surrounding area, who are suspected of involvement in weapons 'leakage' from IDF bases to crime gangs. According to the suspicion, the stolen weapons were used to carry out more than 50 assassination attempts and criminal activities across the country. Police noted that the operation is ongoing, and there may be increased movement of security forces on roads in the area, along with spot roadblocks.
