Likud members oppose cancellation of secret ballot for Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chair: "The regulations are clear"

Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli and MK Moshe Saada from Likud issued a statement against the party's legal adviser, after they claimed he retracted his approval for a secret ballot in the faction regarding the appointment of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chair. "There are regulations and they are very clear: 10% of the electing body members can demand a secret ballot," read identical statements published by both, in which they called on Likud faction chairman Ofir Katz "to adhere to the regulations and announce soon the holding of a secret ballot." MK Tali Gottlieb from Likud also called for a secret ballot.
