Ofir Breslavski, father of kidnapped Rom Breslavski, spoke at the rally in the Hostages Square, saying that "two weeks ago we received a sign from our Rom, a sign of life from there, a sign that shattered our lives here. Rom is starved, tortured, and terrified for his life." According to him, "the entire country saw it. All the leadership saw it. And the leadership decided, by majority vote in the cabinet – to continue abandoning my Rom and the rest of the hostages. This is no longer abandonment – this is actual sacrifice." Breslavski added: "Enough! We cannot continue like this! Stop the war! Stop the abandonment! Stop the country."
