|
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadphul stated during his meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz plans to visit Israel "this year." Minister Saar said: "We discussed many diverse topics in our meeting - global, European and local. The talks were productive. 80 years after the Holocaust, antisemitism has spread throughout the world - especially in Europe. 80 years after the Holocaust, the State of Israel is again facing an existential threat." An anti-Israeli demonstration took place during the foreign ministers' meeting in Berlin.
